Clare Maddicott Publications was acquired by Abacus Cards in May 2008 from its founding owners, Clare and Richard Maddicott, who established the company in 1993. The company had built a reputation for vibrant, colourful, quality cards, based, in the early days, on artwork created solely by Clare Maddicott. Latterly other artists were commissioned to broaden the offering and diversify the range.
Since the purchase, the company has gone from strength to strength and has expanded its portfolio of contributing artists to offer an even greater selection of design-led greeting cards. Clare Maddicott Publications prides itself on creating original, contemporary greeting cards. Lovingly created in our Suffolk studio, our range offers a diverse mix of trend-led designs.
