Airfix a Brand New Male Birthday Range

We have partnered with Hornby Hobbies, one of Britian’s best loved model-making companies, to develop a vintage inspired collection of aviation themed greeting cards, the range encompasses classic aircraft through to modern jets. 

Airfix is a renowned British brand and former manufacturing company which produced injection-moulded plastic scale model kits.  The Aifix brand is synonymous with hobbyist and modelers alike, it is legendary for creating a fantastic world of scale modelling.  Its collection encompasses a wide range of kits ranging from WWI, WWII, the Cold War to modern crafts as well as supercars. 

The imagery featured on the cards depicts popular aviation designs used within the packaging of Airfix branded models, the designs have all been created by the renowned artist Adam Tooby. 

Printed on smooth board the designs are formatted to undersized 5 x 7.  Each design features the Airfix logo in the top left-hand corner of the greeting card as well as copy relating to the featured aircraft below the main design.  The revere of the card details information relevant to the featured models.

Interest in modelling is huge, not only is there an impressive visitor centre and museum linked to the brand in Margate, Kent, but Airfix is also supported by a variety of aviation modelling magazines specifically aimed at enthusiasts.  The Hornby company has also opened its doors to television, programmes are regularly aired and reveal how their dedicated team of designers strive to shrink a new generation of mighty machines in elaborate layouts.
